Avatars are grouped into “Avatar packs” which are a group of related images you might use for the player avatars in a game. This means you can select a pack when you launch a game and each player will have a custom image avatar! To create a new avatar pack, click on the 'New avatar pack' button. You can then type a name for your pack.
Once you've created the collection, you will want to add some images to it. Drag and drop your image files into the gray rectangle area or alternatively click browse. To make things nice and quick, you can upload many images at once!
You can edit your collection at any time, hover over an image and click the red trash icon to delete it, or add more avatars to your pack by uploading more images.
You will notice on the avatars screen there are tabs across the top. You can click on the “Public avatars” tab to explore avatar packs created by the community. Click on a pack to view it and you can also favorite it for easy access.
Now when you start your game, you can choose the avatar collection by clicking the "Browse" link on the avatars option:
You will notice there is the ability to choose whether to automatically assign the avatars to the players, and whether to allow players with the same avatar.
If you choose to keep the auto-assign disabled, players will get a screen to choose their avatar after entering their name when they join the game:
This is a great way to boost student engagement with further customization.
