We support multiple choice, short answer and numerical question types.
Multiple choice template
Here, specify the question under the Question
column, the correct answer under Correct answer
and up to three incorrect answers. You can also specify an explanation under the Explanation
column.
Multiple choice vertical template
If you're trying to copy your questions from another platform, they might paste in vertically. You can fix this by using the transpose feature in Excel, but this can be tedious. Luckily, we made a template to support vertically-formatted multiple choice questions!
Here you will need to specify the question, the correct answer, then three incorrect answers all in the first column. In case you don't have three incorrect answers, make sure to still leave 3 rows after the correct answer and fill them with something such as a dash (-).
Short answer and numerical template
Here, specify the question under the Question
column, the correct answer under the Answer
column and optionally one alternative correct answer under the Alternative Answer
column. Just like the multiple choice template, you can also specify an explanation under the Explanation
column.
If you specify an alternative correct answer, the question type will always be short answer. Otherwise, if you specify only one correct answer then the question type will be short answer if the answer is not a number, otherwise if it is a number it will be numerical question type.
