There are 2 components to a QuizWhizzer game: The quiz and the map. This tutorial explains how to create a quiz. For info on how to create a map, see here.
You can access the quiz editor from the “+ New quiz” button on the side menu:
This will open the quiz editor. To start, you can either start writing new questions from scratch or import questions from a spreadsheet or through your question bank. See the relevant articles for more information on these options:
Assuming you are writing your questions from scratch, here is an illustration of the question interface:
From the top menu, you can choose the question type, total points and even set a time limit for the question. You can also import questions from your Question Bank here by clicking the import icon button.
You will see buttons to add image, video and audio to your question here:
You can add 1 of each media type to a single question (i.e. one image, one video and one audio recording).
You will find a similar input below the section where you add the answers. This is for the explanation, which by default is shown along with the correct answer to players after they submit their answer. This is a setting which can be turned off when you start a game:
At the side you will find a list of all your questions. You can click and drag on the question cards to easily reorder the questions. You will also see buttons to duplicate (copy) and delete a question.
Finally, you will need to fill in the quiz details - title, description and cover photo. Click on the settings button at the top left of the header:
A dialog will show which you can set the cover photo, title and description as well as other options. Use the cover photo for a visual representation of what your quiz is about. Also please make sure to select the correct language of your quiz.
Once you’re happy, click save on the dialog and then click the publish at the top right of the header. Congrats, you’ve made your first quiz!
